The Story of Songcatchers
We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to providing affordable access to high quality music education, training and enrichment to children and families in and around New Rochelle, NY.
The magic that comes with learning to play an instrument or sing in a choir helps children grow into expressive, confident adults, instilling self-esteem, inner peace and a sense of belonging. Studies show that musical training improves literacy, memory, and math skills.
Songcatchers nurtures this development by offering quality, accessible music instruction to all members of our multicultural community. Our programs bring music into children’s lives, fostering a lifelong appreciation of the arts.
