Did you know that April is National Volunteer Month? We are very fortunate to have many wonderful youth volunteers who teach our students here at Songcatchers. Throughout this month, we will celebrate these talented individuals and feature several of them who continue to do great work serving the children and families of Songcatchers.
VOLUNTEER SPOTLIGHT: NICK
Meet Nick! Nick plays the saxophone and is a senior at Fordham Preparatory School in the Bronx. This is Nick's first year volunteering at Songcatchers; he began teaching saxophone virtually in October and currently works with 2 of our advanced saxophone students. Nick says, "These past few months of volunteering at Songcatchers have been very engaging and a great service opportunity. Through this experience, I have been able to share my interests in music as well as receive my students' musical gifts, which is something I am truly grateful for. The whole Songcatchers community really does feel like a family, and every week I am eager to see everyone's progress."
